i shall continue posting the pics for the china trip and shall finish posting everything by this entry. its getting too draggy. =

entrance of ling yin temple.

surroundings of temple..

suzhou-singapore industrial park

damn! for this so-called "industrial visit", we got conned
again. instead of bringing us to the offices for industrial visit, the tour guide brought us to the park to walk and take pictures of the scenery.

a total waste of time.

just imagine how helpless poly students can get under the control of the tour guide.

anyway.. here are the pics. lol.

one of the government buildings in suzhou..

entrance of park.. =

see that white figure from afar? yes, that's the merlion.

next destination after lunch:
tiger hill

another tour guide joined us at the restaurant, as our tour guide wasn't familiar with the tourist sites in suzhou. ya.. i know i sidetracked. haha! ok, as the name suggests, the structure of the ancient buildings looks like a tiger. the tiger tail is at the top of the pagoda. as the tiger is lying down, the paws are reflected by the tips of the yellow hut. its being blocked by the trees in the picture below.

outside tiger hill..

steps walking up to the pagoda..

i guess you guys must wondering what are the sightseeing areas we can get to see at tiger hill. well.. let me fill you in. we saw rocks after rocks, and there were still many many rocks and tombs, which is the one i took below. i remembered one rock particularly. its called the sword-testing rock. the sword was invented and was being tested out by splitting the rock into half.

finally reached the top of tiger hill. yay!

after reaching the top of tiger hill, the suzhou tour guide gave us an hour to tour the place. man.. do you need an hour to tour the place again yourself? maybe yes to some, if you haven't take enough pictures of all the rocks and stones. no offence.. but i can't imagine what i could have done for the next hour. sheesh! i have never met such tour guides before. sometimes i really wonder where is their sense of time direction? they only give us an hour for shopping, which is obviously not enough when you have so many small shops covering one whole street. and when there is nothing much to see at such a sightseeing place, they give us so much time.

here's the picture i took while waiting for that hour to pass.

after that, we had to head down to board the coach. the tour guide then brought us to walk down a flight of stairs. its called the 100 steps. we didn't know the actual purpose of walking down that flight of stairs, but all of us just walked down anyway. for me, walking down that flight of stairs was to obviously head to the coach to get to the destination. duh! lol. besides, we had to count the number of steps we took while walking down that flight of stairs. when we reached the bottom of that flight of stairs, the tour guide then said if you managed to count 108 steps, then you will leave all your worries behind in that place. however, i counted 111 steps. -.-

the next stop..
suzhou university

this time round, more students were bringing us round the school. their school campus were freakin big! plus, their buildings were really really old. i'm not exaggerating, the steps of the mathematical and science buildings were wooden steps, and there were no lifts! some of the steps were creaky.

managed to talk to one of the male students, and we discussed about our individual school life. below are some pics which i managed to shoot while on the way walking back to the school entrance.

their hostels..

together with some of the student guides whom brought us around..

their super big stadium..

after dinner.. pasar malam shopping again!!

back to the hotel by 9pm. the hotel was super ulu! the lightings hanging on the trees were purple and green, which kinda resembles the scene of ghost movies. eeeks!

checked out of that super ulu hotel on the next morning, and we headed next to
suzhou silk factory before travelling up back to shanghai. yay!

silk cocoons..

final products..

had lunch at this place..

shanghai volkswagen

qibao ancient town

don't you think all these sceneries resemble the scenes of ancient chinese dramas? haha!
