last day of attachment

supposed to post this entry wayyyyy long ago, before i get back to s'pore. but it was being delayed. and sorry for the lack of updates! forced myself to sit here and type this entry for the next hour or so.

have been so busy and tired ever since i got back on 29th April, sunday evening. i don't know what i have been busy with recently, but i'm so occupied everyday until i don't have time to watch my DVDs nor switching on that TV to watch SCV for the past two weeks. i'm so dead tired at the end of every day, that i would drop dead every night on my bed at 11pm.

ok, let's talk about my thoughts before I boarded the SilkAir flight heading back to S'pore.

sunday morning! - i couldn't sleep well at all for the whole night. i slept at 12.30am, and got up at 6.30am. i know this sounds really mad, but i was looking forward to go home, at the same time, i couldn't bring myself to leave kunming. so i started washing up and packing up my last minute stuffs, and everything was packed up by 8.30.

linda came by to bao feng lou to help us with our checking out of the hostel. our room was really in a silly mess after we pushed out our luggage and move out our boxes. after seeing the amount of luggages and boxes that we are bringing back, linda only gave us this comment saying that the aeroplane cannot take off, because we got so many pieces of luggage. after moving everything up the small bus, we had difficulty finding space to seat. haha!

betty met us at the airport to assist us in the checking in of luggage. our flight was at 1.05pm, but we reached the airport at 12.30pm. everything was in such a rush, and our luggages plus boxes were exceedingly overweight. our total luggage weight for all the 5 of us was 154kg. only helena and my luggage were overweight, and paid a total of RMB3840 (S$600++). well, my total check in luggage was 39.5kg. (:

by the time, i got on to the plane, i took the window seat. and to my surprise, jacky, the IT manager was on the same flight as us! i was so surprised to see him, as he was taking a flight transit from s'pore back to malaysia. when the plane took off, i nearly broke into tears after i saw the kunming city landscape from above. i'm seriously miss kunming city, plus the people in SCGLR. urgh! i so want to go back!! when the plane touched down at s'pore, i also nearly broke into tears again. duh!

i wanna thank these people whom have been looking after me during my attachment at Spring City and being very patient to guide me along whenever i encounter difficulties..and also many thanks to these people, for making my attachment here a wonderful experience!

1) my finance department colleagues

- mei jun
always enjoy teasing and disturbing her.. and she can get really blur at times! although she keeps commenting that yingyu and i are really very slow at peeling off the skin of apples and pears during meals, especially when she wants to borrow our knifes from us. hahaha.. nevertheless, she's one of the colleagues yingyu and i are closest to during our attachment in the finance department. a really fun girl to be with, and she's getting married soon. congrats to her!

- yu lan
always very friendly, warm and cheerful. i remembered there was once i went to her house together with yingyu and other colleagues, her dad mistook me for a guy, and offered me ciagrettes. duh! hahaha..

i suppose its my super big "flasher" jacket i wore which made him mistook me as a guy. hahaha!

- cai ling
she's always teasing yingyu and i! hmph! but she's really very humourous.

- zhou li
supposedly one of the first few colleagues i got to know in the finance department, and yingyu and i were quite close with. she's always helping yingyu and i whenever we have difficulties or no work to do during office hours.=X

- si yu
one of the supervisors i got to know in the finance department. very understanding, warm and friendly.

- jia zhu
she's the only colleague which meijun loves to tease, and one of our gossip partner. hahahaha! nevertheless, got to learn and understand more about the things in the office.

- nancy
one of the pregnant ladies in office! hahaha... her baby is gonna due soon! she's the one who give us the whole month stack of invoices to glue, which can go on for 3-4 days before we can complete it.

- jin mei
everybody loves to play with super duper long black hair.. heh!

- kong ying
our supervisor in the finance department. she helped and guided us along the way in the finance department, although she's super duper busy.

- dawn/ms tan
our chief financial controller! she's really a nice lady whom looked after yingyu and i during our attachment at the finance department.

2) the admin/marketing/events department and HR colleagues

- linda
the supervisor directly in charge of us during our attachment at SCGLR. thanks to her, whenever we faced any problems, we can always go straight to her, and she would solve our problems immediately. cannot thank her enough for her care and concern!

- betty
the HR colleague whom send us to and fro from the resort to the airport. she guided us on the DOs and DON'Ts at the resort, and the regulations that we had to abide to. she looked after every single detail for us, be it the our work uniform, locker key, shoes, hostel room etc.

- tina
wasn't that close to her during my attachement at SCGLR, but she's a very friendly lady too!

- sally
one of the humourous colleague I have got to know. always very bright, lively and cheerful. the office is always full of laughter when she's around.

- rachel
one of the colleagues in chloe's office, and she's really very nice! got to first know her during the strawberry plucking trip, and her english is superb! hahaha.. she brought us to the world expo garden, and treated us to donuts. always asking her for advice on the places to go in kunming, and she look after us very well. many thanks to her!

3) hostel's front desk staff

- security guards
always have to trouble them... change our toilet light bulbs, get our extra quilts from them when the weather was terribly cold when we first came, get our monthly toilet rolls from them, and repair our toilet bowl when we couldn't flush it. many thanks and appreciate their effort as well!

- housekeeping aunties
i can't thank them enough! they sweep our super duper messy room for us, clear our over filled dustbins, pack our beds for us, and when i was sick, they cooked porridge for me!

and i'll miss...

when i came back, i feel so out of place in our little concrete jungle. at first, in tangchi, i have to get use to the food, weather and living environment, and i almost took a month to settle down. and now that i'm back here,i feel so lost. i still can get use to the food here, but not the weather and living environment. everything looks so new and the weather is terribly damn hot! i reached home, i told my mum that our house is so terribly clean! no rubbish on the floor, no dirty carpets, clean toilets and the house looks so big! even my room looks big too, although its pretty small. hahaha!

looks like i need a month to settle myself back here.. lol.

I MISS KUNMING AND SCGLR! =(
