Term break!
Well, yeah. The well-deserved term break is finally here! Two weeks of rest, play and of cause not forgetting studies. Exams will be approaching in a month's time after the break ends, and I'm definitely not looking forward to that. Haha!Haven't been touching my books ever since I submitted my OB (Organisational Behaviour) assignment on Wed night because I was totally in a holiday mood already and was so sleep-deprived from doing the assignment. Nevertheless, I would have to return to my books soon or else I will have nightmares for studying for the exams.
Speaking of which, my mid-semester results for QM2 (Quantitative Methods) and IFA (Intermediate Financial Accounting) were horrible! Ok, shan't exaggerate things but I was totally disappointed with my results for QM2, where I scored 3/10, for a MCQ test. Your eyes ain't failing you, yeah.. 3/10! Unbelievable right? I understood the concepts, but the answers turned out to be wrong. How freakin' scary is that! IFA was a little better, just managed to scrapped past it, 15/30. I fared better for my first OB assignment, 67/100, and I was quite satisfied with my results, before my friend told me that 67 marks is actually the average standard for the assignment. Reality is cruel, isn't it? =P
Was speaking to my accounts buddy and Merissa about my results, and discussing about the irony of uni life. Apparently, it seems that you don't score well, even if you understand the concepts taught in lectures and tutorials and put in alot of effort and time in understanding it, but brainy people just seems to get away with getting better results, without fully grasping the concepts. How ironic is that!
Ok, enough of uni matters. Went to Queen Vic market yesterday with Val and Nat, and we happened to chanced upon the Police Band singing the tunes which are currently on the chart and some oldies. They were really good singers and we totally enjoyed the performance. They really made my Sunday afternoon really enjoyable.
Had my usual bratwurst sausage sandwich with grated cheese and onions for lunch from Queen Vic market, and its really huge!
Celebrated Sam's birthday last night at Fiesta Mexican Restaurant at South Yarra, and the food was really good! Of cause the company was fantastic as well, with our usual gang of 11 of us.

We blindfolded the birthday girl all the way from the first tram stop to the restaurant.

Our lovely birthday girl with her profiterole "cake"

Nanchos with chill, cream, and alot of dips on top of it! Really good!
Some photos to share which was supposed to be uploaded quite some time ago but didn't have the time to do so. (:

Sunday dinner with Val and Charlene over at my place

Our dinner - fried spinach, dark sauce chicken with ginger, and potato, carrot with pork soup

And to sum it off, dessert - my favourite biscotti from Brunetti! (I don't know why the picture turns out to be lopsided when it wasn't taken this way)
Dim sum lunch at Shark Fin's House at Chinatown.. Damn good!

Birthday boy!

Sam and Val came over to cook dinner at my place, and we prepared Western food!

Our home-cooked western dinner! Fish fingers, mashed potatoes, broccoli, butter fish, breaded chicken and meat patties! Are you drooling already.. Haha!
It has been some time ever since I did such a long post. I'll upload more pictures when I get them soon! Promise to have updates during the next 2 weeks of holidays!
Happy holidays to me, and you readers whom are gonna have their uni holidays soon!
